How to Run Bank or Bust

Boxes, offers, and one person sweating in front of the whole room while everybody else shouts at them.

Pick Bank or Bust and Fill the Boxes

From the launcher, tap Bank or Bust. Type what is in each sealed box: a prize, a forfeit, a cash amount, a word, whatever the event calls for.

In a hurry? One tap fills the wall with the numbers ladder or a sample prize set, and you are away.

Get a Volunteer Up

This one runs on the big screen and needs no phones at all. If a player scans the code they will see a card telling them to watch the screen and shout.

Your contestant picks one box to keep, then starts opening the others.

Take the Offer, or Do Not

After each round The Vault makes an offer to buy them out. On number boxes the app works the offer out for you. On word boxes you name it yourself, which is more fun.

Tap Bank to take the money, or Bust to send them back in. The room will be telling them what to do. They will not listen.

Open the Last Box

Play it out to the final box, or bank early and live with what might have been. Undo covers a misclick, so a fat thumb never ends the game.

There is an optional Joker mode that hides a bust box in the wall, if the room wants a bit more danger.

Pro Tips

It only works if the volunteer is enjoying it. Pick the one who wants to be up there, not the one who will die of embarrassment
Put a real prize in one box. It does not have to be big. A meal for two, a bottle, a voucher, anything the room would actually want is enough to make them care
Bank or Bust is on the 24-Hour Home Pass, Professional and Enterprise plans, and it is the one game that needs nothing from the crowd but a voice
Ten minutes is plenty. It is a centrepiece between rounds, not the whole event
